Civil Contractors New Zealand has composed a draft submission on the Resource Management (Consenting and Other System Changes) Amendment Bill, which is open for submissions until 10 February. 

Among other things, the submission calls for better recognition of the role contractors play as first responders in emergency situations, improved consenting timeframes for long-life infrastructure, and better risk specification when consenting.
